Midnight Blue Feather Nails & Essie Spring Collection 2014 II

This is not a post of firsts but of seconds. It is my second design for Cyw’s theme month and the second of my four Essie Spring Collection polishes that I got.

It is one of the two none pastel polishes of the collection. “Hide and go chic” is a gorgeous dark blue with kind of a grey undertone. The application was smooth but the polish is a little thicker than “Romper Room”. If you apply it carefully you can probably get away with one coat, so the opacity is very good. In the picture below you see two coats with no topcoat.

And for the design I painted on a very pretty light blue and white fuzzy topcoat by L’Oreal “919 GraceTweed” on my thumb, index and pinky finger. I think it gives a fun feathery look.

I stamped on the little bird design from “BM-323” plate with white Konad Special Polish and stuck on a pastel blue stud from BornPrettyStore.

For the feathers on the ring finger I used Konad “M77” plate. For the light blue feathers I mixed white stamping polish and a blue polish from P2.

For topcoat I used Essence BTGN.

This design and the color kind of reminds me of midnight walk. Do you like dark and bright colors like this for spring or are you all over pastels?

Dann also jetzt: Was für eine hübsche Kombination!!!
